Purses for Change Auction

ANTHC’s Healthy Alaska Natives Foundation team is constantly creating new and unique events to attract and inspire donors, volunteers and advocates who support ANTHC’s work in helping Alaska Native people become the healthiest people in the world. The Foundation’s latest fundraising concept came to life on November 8th at its first Purses for Change: A Purse and Accessory Auction.

The auction was a big success, raising more than $7,000 for the ANMC Oncology & Cancer Care Fund. More than 65 people attended the silent auction which showcased more than 110 new or gently used purses and accessories that were donated by ANTHC staff and community members. Participants also enjoyed door prizes, light appetizers, refreshments and music at the Admiral’s Place Banquet Hall in Anchorage.

“It was exciting to see this fun and fashionable idea come alive and for it to be such a success,” said Carrie Brown, Healthy Alaska Natives Foundation Director. “We thank all of our dedicated donors and volunteers, and especially thank those who purchased items at the auction that are supporting the important cancer work and services taking place at ANMC.”

Thank you for everyone’s support! This event would not of been a success without our donors, attendees and volunteers. Check out pictures from the event below!
