Health Care Improvements

HANF provides the health care improvements that fight the leading causes of death for Alaska Natives – cancer, heart disease, unintentional injuries, suicide and stroke. 

Since 2010, HANF has funded the following improvements at the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC):

  • care for cancer patients and improvements in the Oncology Clinic at ANMC
  • literacy and art therapy programs for our young patients
  • improvements in the Inpatient Pediatric Unit at ANMC, and providing families with a more comfortable stay
  • equipment for the Surgery Clinic at ANMC
  • state-of-the-art mobile ultrasound equipment for the ENT Clinic at ANMC
  • clothing for our ER patients
  • a toy fund for pediatric patients undergoing surgery
  • and more!
